When those of us at Digital VooDoo call Rodney the resident know-it-all, it's not a snidely aside, but a fact. Rodney L'Ongnion is fluent in DOS, Macintosh, Windows and SGI operating systems. He has extensive knowledge in various multimedia and Web tools such as Visual C++, Visual Basic, Director and Java, as well as most graphics and |

A prolific designer of film posters, Rodney's work is seen at every major film festival in America and Europe. Rodney worked with Digital VooDoo Producer, Lisa Dee, as a technical consultant on the 500 Nations CD-ROM, hosted by Kevin Costner and distributed by Microsoft, and has been a critical participant on all of Digital VooDoo's projects. He designed 3D modeling and animation for KLH Audio Systems' product CD-ROM; animated sequences for Western Digital, illustrating the workings of a hard disk drive, and high-concept animation to explain Merisel's telecommunications technology. He also designed the interface and graphics for the CD-ROM based training for Hilton Hotels, and created the animated PowerPal character for the PowerTools campaign for Davidson Software. In the digital arena, Rodney is a man with strong convictions... or at least, a man with many opinions. Of William Gibson's Cyberspace, he says, "Gibson described it as consensual illusion and that is what it has become. It seems everyone shares this vision of Cyberspace as a film noir, Ridley Scott-esque urban cluster." Of course, Rodney's version is different. "I don't see a dark and dreary highway to Cyberspace, but rather a short commuter ride out to the Cyburbs. My corner of Cyburbia is a kinder, gentler area of the virtual community in which we reside." |
